Nestled in the rural area of Planaltina, a satellite city of Brasília, lies Vale do Amanhecer, a unique spiritual community that has become a beacon of hope and healing for thousands. This extraordinary place has a rich history and a profound mission to alleviate the suffering of those who seek its sanctuary.

A Brief History

The first community of Vale do Amanhecer, originally established in Serra do Ouro near Alexânia, Goiás, later moved to Taguatinga, another satellite city of Brasília. In 1969, it settled in its current location in Planaltina, becoming a home and haven for many. The Vale occupies government-owned land and houses about 500 people, including numerous abandoned minors sheltered by the founder, Tia Neiva. The legal entity “Lar das Crianças de Matildes” was created to ensure the legality of this compassionate endeavor.

The Heart of the Community

The community revolves around the Templo do Amanhecer, a stone structure shaped like an ellipse, covering 2,400 square meters. Nearby, about 300 meters away, is the Solar dos Médiuns or Estrela Candente, an open-air initiation complex featuring artificial waterfalls, a star-shaped water mirror, lakes, stone staircases, and straw huts.

Daily Life and Activities

Life in Vale do Amanhecer is both intense and tranquil. The day begins at 10 a.m. with the sound of a siren, signaling the start of the Mediums’ Retreat, a tradition since 1959. Mediums work in shifts until 10 p.m., engaging in a variety of rituals and healing practices. The Solar dos Médiuns also operates daily, starting at 12:30 p.m., focusing on manipulating energies, with public services available in special cases.

The community is self-sufficient, with running water, electricity, a bus line connecting it to Planaltina, an elementary school for 200 students, cafeterias, a mechanic’s workshop, a sewing salon, an orchard, a farm, and a bookstore specializing in religious and spiritualist works. Despite the bucolic tranquility, the community is a hub of activity dedicated to helping those in need.

The Healing Process

In Vale do Amanhecer, there are two primary groups: Mediums and Clients. Mediums are former clients who felt a transcendental calling to work mediumistically. They represent about 0.5% of those who visit the Vale, meaning only one in every 200 visitors feels the need to develop their mediumship.

On Official Work days (Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays), the community serves between 3,000 to 5,000 people. The day begins with the opening of the Current at 10 a.m., and mediums take their places to provide various services. Clients are first met by mediums from the Receptionists’ Phalanx, who discreetly guide them through the process.

The Mediums’ Work

Mediums work in pairs at small tables called Thrones. The Apará, or incorporation medium, interacts with the client while the Doutrinador, standing behind, oversees the process and ensures clarity and safety. The Apará channels guiding entities, such as Preto Velho or Caboclo, who manipulate energies to address the client’s issues, often communicating in a barely intelligible language.

Client Services

Clients may receive guidance and energy manipulation for various issues, from physical ailments to financial problems. After the initial consultation, they might be directed to the Healing Room, Induction, or the Line of Passes for further assistance. The treatments are purely spiritual, complementing but not replacing conventional medical care.

A Place for Everyone

Vale do Amanhecer welcomes people from all walks of life. Visitors come out of curiosity, research interests, or in search of something missing in their lives. The community’s ethos is to provide help without any obligation or commitment from the clients. Trust and faith develop naturally from the positive results experienced by those who seek help here.

Conclusion

Vale do Amanhecer is a sanctuary where spirituality meets practicality, providing solace and healing to thousands. It is a place where hope is renewed, pains are alleviated, and perspectives are broadened, all under the watchful guidance of Tia Neiva and her devoted mediums. Whether you seek spiritual guidance, healing, or simply a place of peace, Vale do Amanhecer offers an open door and a welcoming heart.
